Obituary of Stephen Evans, Jr.

On April 18, 1942 Stephen H. Evans Jr, better known as Junior, was born to the late Stephen H. Evans Sr. and Mary Lizzie Scruggs Evans of Appomattox Va. He was the only child who was loved so dear.
 

He attended Appomattox County Public Schools, where he graduated from Carver Price High School in Appomattox VA. He was a member of Canaan Baptist Church until his death.
He was married to his childhood sweetheart Marie A. McCoy Evans for 58 years. He was the father to 3 girls and five grandchildren. Throughout life, in his leisure time, Steve enjoyed landscaping work, cooking on the grill, fishing and watching football.
 

On the morning of May 11, 2020 Steve was called home to be with his Lord. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 59 years, Marie A. Evans; three children, Karen Evans, Angela Evans and Susan Gregory; five grandchildren, Jada Johnson, Roland Jacksons Jr., Asia Jackson, and a host of relatives and friends.
