I just recently (Feb. 2023) ran into someone that worked at the DC Police Dept and was very saddened to hear about the passing of Gary. I met Gary in the early 90's at the First District when he was a Detective and I was a rookie Police Officer. He was always dressed to the nine's and very professional. He would call me "Hollywood" because he said I was always very neat and well put together in my uniform. He would often speak fondly about his family and was so proud of his up and coming nephew at the time "Usher Raymond." Well, the rest is history! He was truly a really nice person with a great spirit! My deepest condolences go out to his entire family.
