Obituary of Andre Finley Peronneau

Andre Finely Peronneau affectionately called "OBM" or "Spanky" was born on December 4,1959 at Medical University of South Carolina to Martha Elizabeth Peronneau and James Finley Peronneau. He departed this life on June 11, 2021 in Rockville, Maryland. Andre was educated in the Charleston County School System, receiving his High School Diploma from Rivers Highschool. Andre then went on to higher education where he received his 1st degree at Wofford College and was initiated as a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. After he graduated from Wofford College, he attended George Mason University and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree. Andre believed in "Learning for a Lifetime," and attained his master’s degree in Procurement and Acquisitions Management from Webster University. Andre also obtained numerous degrees and certifications to include a licensed Pharmacy Technician, Virginia Notary, Licensed Insurance Adjuster, and an A+ Certified Repair Technician. Andre loved learning. At an early age Andre attended The Historic Mother Emmanuel AME Church in Charleston, SC. He later joined Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Alexandria, VA in 2007. Andre worked at Georgetown University as an Investigator for the Department of Public Safety for over 30 years. While there he received numerous certificates of appreciation and accolades of accomplishments. After leaving Georgetown University, Andre then worked for the Environmental Protection Agency and Home Depot for a short period of time. Andre's final place of employment was Amazon where he worked part time. Andre was married to Camille Peronneau and known as "dad" to Andraya Jowders. He had a strong passion for spending time with his family. After every event you could guarantee that Andre would always have a to go container for his 2:00 am snack. You could always find him at the local Dunkin Donuts drinking his "weight" in coffee. He loved to watch a good movie and we cannot forget about his favorite food, "hot dogs and pork and beans!" Andre had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a funny saying to make everyone laugh. Andre was a confidante to many. He loved his family and friends. He was thoughtful and always there when you needed him. Andre was a blessing to everyone that met him, this is evident by the enormous outpouring of love received from those that knew him.
