Pastor Emeritus Lyford W. Banks  

Entered eternal rest on September 19, 2021 at the age of 93. He was predeceased by his wife Edith Banks and daughter Mildred Kemper. He is survived by children LaVonia Linder (Arthur, Sr.), Deborah Newell, Lyford Banks, Jr (Sharon), Betty Wilson and Gregory Tolson, Jr; 14 grandchildren; several great and great-great -grandchildren; niece, Gloria Collins, other relatives, and devoted friends. Services will be held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 215 Rhode Island Avenue NW, Washington, DC on Thursday, September 30, 2021; viewing 10 a.m.; Service 11 a.m. (limited). Officiant Reverend Laura Smith. Interment Rock Creek Cemetery. Services entrusted to Bianchi Funeral Service. Service can be viewed on Facebook (Mt.
