Obituary of Patricia Moore

OBITUARY

Patricia Anderson Moore was born on October 10, 1952 to the late Harold and Mollie Anderson. She was carried home to eternal rest on Saturday, January 7, surrounded by her family.

She spent her childhood in eastern North Carolina and graduated from H.B. Suggs High School. After graduating from high school, Patricia moved to the Washington DC/ Maryland and made that her home. In 1976, Patricia met and married her husband, Alvin Moore. She received a business degree and an elementary degree from Bowie State University and Strayer University. Patricia was a member of Mt.

Pleasant Baptist Church, where she served as an usher. She was a faithful mother to her children. She always worked hard to provide for her family of children and their offspring. She touched many lives in the community as well.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by a daughter, Chiquita Moore. She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Teruko Nicole Garnett, of Waldorf Maryland; a son, Allen LeVance Moore (Margaret) of the home; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren; a brother, M.Sgt. (Ret.)David Lee Taft (Belle) of Columbia , SC, 4 sisters: Yvette Walker and Phyllis Noble of Maryland; Naomi Hunter of Byron, Georgia, and Lorene Bell (Curtis) of Kinston, NC; 1 sister in – law; 2 brothers in-law; 3 aunts, Christine Rountree, LaForest Anderson of Greenville, NC, and Betty Jean Anderson of Maryland; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
