Obituary of Carolyn Norman

Carolyn E. Norman was born April 19^th 1945 in Washington D.C. to the late Wyman and Edna Johnson. Carolyn received her education from George Washington Carver High school in Locust Grove Virginia. She peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on Saturday January 7^th 2023.

On September 6^th 1965 in Culper VA Carolyn and Kenneth Norman joined in matrimony.

From that union they had four Children. Carolyn accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior at a very young age. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Arlington VA. She loved her church and attended faithfully. She was heavily involved in Missionaries. She was a former District Co-Chair for District I for quite some time. Up until her last position as a First Year Chaplin for District I. Carolyn enjoyed dedicating her time and service.

Carolyn worked for Bureau of Engraving and Printing retiring after 30+ years of service. There she made lifelong friendships and memories that will never be forgotten.

Carolyn was known to light up a room. She loved to sing and try different restaurants. She was a part of a birthday club where she obtained lifelong memories and friendships to last for an eternity. She loved to cheer on her Philadelphia Eagles and 49ners. Her presence will be missed along with her devoted praying soul.

She leaves to cherish her love and memories to three sons Clinton Norman, Kevin Norman, Kenneth Norman and one daughter Tanya Norman.  Six grandchildren Tyesha Henderson Jasmine Norman Zoe Callahan and Dominque Norman, Bryan McDaniels Michael McDaniels. Five Great Grandchildren Gianna Norman, Zoey Komongnan, McKinley Julius, Rocksy Julius , and Ozzy Julius. Her two sister Mary Simms (Lizzy) and Barbara Shaneman. Carolyn was proceeded in death by her five brothers Luther and Odell Johnson, Tyrone Cunningham, Harry Robinson, and Irivng Johnson.

I Made it Home

I just wanted to let you know I made it Home

Everything is so pretty here, so fresh , so new.I wish that you could close your eyes so you could see it too.

Please try not to be sad for me. Try to understand. God is taking care of me. I’m in the shelter of his hands

Here there is no sadness and no sorrow and no pain here there is no crying an I’ll never hurt again

Here it is so peaceful when all the angels sing. I really must go now… I’ve just got to try my wings.

PS… I’ll be the first face you see when you get here!
