Recollecting upon a spirit like Jacqueline brings warmth and yearning in equal measure. Her radiant energy, her generosity of spirit that we first encountered at Virginia State in 1964, ingrained an everlasting bond amidst us: Barbara, Theresa, Donna Jean, Blanche and I. As we navigated through college events, meals and cherished visits to our homes, Jackie's vivacity was our guiding light. The charm she cast on my neighbor lingers still. Amidst the echoes of her laughter and memories now treasured more than ever, she is profoundly missed.
